Toasted Italian Sliced Cookies

Ingredients
2 cups of sugar
2 cups of melted butter
6 eggs
5 cups of sifted flour
1 teaspoon of baking powder for each cup of flour
2 cups of chopped almonds
flavor any kind (vanilla)
Directions
Mix eggs, butter,sugar,and vanilla; add flour and baking powder ( in small amounts); refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours; make into loaves; bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees; cool then slice; place flat on cookie sheet and bake again 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
