Ingredients

Cream together:
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
3 eggs beaten

Add:
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. soda (dissolved in buttermilk)
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
5 cups flour
1 orange rind

Directions

Drop by tsp. on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 min. Cool and frost with orange icing

Orange Icing:
3 Tbsp. orange juice
3 Tbsp. margarine
1 pound powdered sugar

Mix together with mixer and frost the cookies.
