Ingredients

1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 clove minced garlic
2 eggs
oil

Directions

1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 clove minced garlic
2 eggs
oil

Combine all ingredients except for oil and shape into balls. Use oil to roll balls to make smooth.

4 tbsp oil
1 clove garlic
1/2 onion

Heat three ingredients in pan and add meatballs. Brown.

1 can crushed tomatoes
1 can tomato puree
1 can tomato paste
1 paste can of water
1 tsp basil

Notes

Add these to meatballs. Bring to a boil. Add a pinch of baking soda or 1 tsp sugar to neutralize acid. Simmer two hours while stirring. Remove grease from sauce when it rises to top.

Makes 10-12 meatballs and sauce for 1 lb pasta. Sausage, spareribs, etc. can also be put in sauce.
