German Lasagna

Ingredients

3/4 cup flour, 1 Tbls beef boulion ganules, 2 tsp pepper, 2 1/4 cup milk, 14 oz can chicken broth, 1 lb kielbasy (or smoked sausage) - chopped, 2 eggs, 12 oz small curd cottage cheese, 9 lasagna noodles - cooked, 16 oz saurkraut - rinsed & drained, 8 oz montery jack cheese - shreaded

Directions

Melt butter and stir in flour, bouillion, salt and 1 tsp pepper till smooth. Gradually stir in milk & broth. Bring to boil & cook and stir 2 minutes or till thick. Add chopped kielbasy -heat thru. Combine eggs, cottage cheese and rest of pepper. Spread 1 cup Kielbasy mixture in 13 x 9 greased pan. Layer 3 noodles, 1/3 kielbasy mixture, 1/2 cottage cheese mixture and saurkraut and 3/4 c shreaded cheese. Repeat layers. Top with noodles and kielbasy mixture. Cover & bake 350 degrees 50-60 minutes or till bubbly. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake 5 minutes more. 12 servings

Notes

When I first saw this recipe I thought ewwwwww yuk...but it was the recipe I closed my eyes, opened the book, and pointed to, to make for dinner... it's been my families favorite dish including mine... it's totally yummmmmmy!!!
