Sour Cream Kolachy

Ingredients
2 sticks (1 cup) of butter
4 cups flour
1/2 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
1/4 cup milk
1 pkg. dry yeast
5 egg yolks 1/2 pt. (1 cup) sour cream.
Directions
Cream butter. Mix flour, baking soda and salt together and add to the butter. Heat milk to lukewarm, add yeast and add this to above mixture.
Beat 5 egg yolks with sour cream.Pour over flour mixture, knead dough until smooth. Refrigerate overnight. Divide dough in 4 equal parts. Roll in sugar. Brush with melted butter on dough before spreading nuts and twice on top before baking.
Filling:
1 lb. walnuts ground fine
1 cup of sugar
1/2 c. water
1 T. vanilla
Cook sugar and water together until sugar dissovles. Boil about 3 min. Remove from heat. Let cool. Add vanilla and nuts.
