Ingredients

3 cups flour or more
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter or Crisco
2 or 3 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. clove
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 Tbs. water

Directions

Cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs. Add all dry
ingredients. Alternate with liquid until stiff enough
to roll. Roll out and cut with cookie cutters.
Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture (my favorite) white
sugar - red or green - or all of them!
Bake at 350 degrees - 15 to 20 minutes.
