Mint Squares

Ingredients
1/2 plus 1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup granualted sugar
2 cps confectioners sugar
4 beaten eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (16oz.) chocolate syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbl. green creme de menthe
1 cup choc. chip, melted
6 Tbl. butter, melted
Directions
For the first layer, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl cream 1/2 butter with the granualed sugar. Add the eggs,and mix. Add the flour, salt, chocolate syrup, and vanila, and blend well. Pour the mixture into a greased 13x9 inch pan. bake for 20 to 25 min., let cool.
For the second layer, in a med. bowl combine the confectioners sugar, the remaining 1/2 cup softened butter, and the creme de menthe. Spread the mixture over the first layer.
For the third layer, in a med. bowl combine the choc chips and the melted butter. Let the choc. mixture cool, and spread it on top of the layers. Alow them to cool long enough to become firm before cutting into squares.
Notes
Believe they are so good they are worth the time to make these, they are mouth watering. Makes 18 to 20 squares.
