Sally's Crescent Cheese Bars

Ingredients

2 pkg. crescent rolls
1 cup sugar
1 egg yolk - save white
1 Tbl. vanilla
2- (8 oz.) cream cheese softened
brown sugar

Directions

Fit one can crescent rolls in botom of 13x9 pan. Mix sugar, egg yolk, vanilla and cream cheese together until smooth and creamy. Pour mixture over rolls in pan. Press second can of rolls out to fit over mixture. Brush with the egg white. Sprinkle with some brown sugar to cover top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 mintues or until golden brown.
You can add a can of cherry pie filling to cream cheese mixture or a can of blueberry pie filling. I also cut up a 29 oz. can of peaches and add to cheese mixture, also can use a 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple thicken with a couple Tbls. of cornstarch over low heat then add to cheese mixture.
