Mandel Tassen or Pillows

Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
2 cups flour
6 egg yolks
juice and rind of lemon

Directions

Blend pastry ingredients into soft dough. Make into balls walnut size. Refrigerate over nite. Roll out and fill wth 1 tablespoon of filling. Fold dough into pillow shape. Put filling into center.
Filling:
6 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1/2 lb. ground almonds
juice of 1/2 lemon
Beat egg whites stiff and fold into pillow like pastry
