Candy Canes Christmas Cookies

Ingredients

2 sticks oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour

Directions

Beat oleo, adding sugar gradually. Add egg and mix.
Add vanilla, flour and salt. Divide dough into two equal
parts. Tint one part red. Roll a little of each color
into strips and place each strip side by side. Then
curve them down to form a cane. Should be about 4" long.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degree for
nine minutes,
